Tips:
1. Make reservations for accommodations and transportation well in advance. Confirm your departure point and your confirmation number from the ferry company. Ask for an email confirmation. Reconfirm your reservation a few days ahead of your stay. Check the twitter feed for the Pelee ferry for last minute changes to ferry schedules and departure points.
2. Try to bring along most of what you will need while staying on the island as supplies are limited, including drugstore items. Businesses have limited hours.
3. Pelee Island is buggy! It is a good idea to bring insect repellent and proper clothing. Stable flies can sometimes be a problem. When choosing a beach choose the side of the island with an onshore breeze.
